The Story

My name is Matthew Patera.

I have lived in the Roaring Fork Valley for 3.5 years now.
My wife and I moved out here in 2013 with our two dogs, Kayleigh and Buddy, and our cat, Steve French, looking for a better quality of life and knew upon our first week of arriving here that this was going to be the place where we would find it.

From the awesome environment, caring demeanor of the people and superb sense of community that we witnessed, we knew we would never leave this place.

We have been introduced to numerous people that all have the same general goal in mind, live in a place where your neighbor matters. Now that we have had our first child, Hazel Grace, we know that we have hit the jackpot.

Not only will she have more of an opportunity to have a fulfilling life here but, she will also have the chance to grow up in a caring community that helps one another.

I grew up in Valdosta, GA with my two brothers, mother and father. My father instilled a great sense of work ethic that has driven my working life in excellent ways.

He owns a carpet and upholstery cleaning business that I was allowed to work at as a summer job from the young age of 11 years old. I was able to see how his unique process was a step above the traditional style of carpet cleaning.

We cleaned some incredibly soiled carpets and furniture and I was constantly being amazed at the results that we would achieve. It gave me a strong sense of pride and confidence to know that we could do so much.

Whenever I graduated high school, I began working full-time as a manager, helping him run and operate the business and learning the ins and outs of business ownership and management.

Along with this experience, I attended college to get a Business Marketing and Management degree that would add value to the experience I was gaining with his business.

Whenever my wife and I moved out here, I decided to bring along a new carpet and upholstery cleaning business to The Valley.

I have had 17 years of experience in the carpet and upholstery cleaning industry. I have seen, and cleaned, just about everything there is to clean in this business. I have seen some truly amazing results in my experience and am continuously amazed at the superb results I am able to attain.
